My personal philosophy for using technology in education

I acknowledge the fact that technology plays a vita role in education. It is very important for teachers to keep learning and continue to modify their approach to find the best possible way to attend to the different learning styles to enhance successful learning within the classroom. It is quite evident that the world is constantly being influenced by technology and I strongly believe that this technology can be used to improve educational strategies for teachers. As a teacher in training I plan not only to learn from other teachers but to keep up on new innovations and incorporate them in my classroom.
Technology is something that is constantly used, whether it be texting, instant messaging, e-mailing, facebooking, or listening to all genres of musics. It has become a significant part of our lives. Technology has become our mode of communication and it is engraved in absolutely everything we do so what better way to teach someone than to speak their language. It is very inconsolable that with all this technology we have today most of the classrooms are generally the same as it was years ago. I believe that students should be taught using creative computer programs, powerpoint, movies, emails, social networking sites etc.
There are many opportunities at our fingertips to enhance learning only if we just put them to use. Further more technology in the classroom is not only to engage students but it can be an essential tool for the future. If one does not keep current with technology, he or she will be lost in the future. Technology is not only for the use of teaching but we can teach our children in respect to today's world, not only so they can survive and maintain but so they may flourish. As a teacher in training, I will continue to increase my knowledge on technology and keep current with new innovations in order to provide the most successful learning environment for my students.
